Chris "Daddy" Dave visited the Vater offices and factory during his 2 day visit to Boston Sept 22nd and 23rd. The 22nd consisted of a workshop with Chris and The Robert Glasper Experiment at Berklee College of Music Hosted by Vater Artist and Berklee Faculty Member Sean Skeete. Chris took some time after the workshop for some new Vater photos and video interview.
Chris, a Vater Artist since 2002, made his first visit to the Vater offices and factory on the 23rd. Chris got to see first hand how Vater's sticks are manufactured. We then set up a lathe to work on some prototypes for Chris' upcoming Vater Artist Model Release. Details on the sticks coming soon! Vater Artist Charles Haynes (Kanye West) also popped by to hang for the day as well.
Later that night it was off to the Regatta Bar in Cambridge to see Chris perform once again to a packed crowd with The Robert Glasper Expirement.
"We were all very excited to have Chris Dave make his first visit to the Vater Headquarters" comments Chad Brandolini, Artist Relations Director. "Chris has been turning a lot of heads lately with his unique style and kit set up consisting of a bass drum and all snare drums along with stacked and cracked cymbals. We have always been honored to have Chris on board and are looking forward to introducing his Player's Design Model at NAMM 2011"
