Kyle Schweikhard

Kyle Schweikhard is a graduate of Musicians Institute of California and a Independent Drummer/Percussionist/Educator/Clinician. Kyle was teaching drum/hand percussion at the Drum Circuit, a Five Star drum store in San Luis Obispo, California. He has since expanded his teaching to become the founder of Drum Sync Academy www.drumsync.com ". He also does frequent studio work and clinics from LA up to the Central Coast. He has played with Bluz Dogz, Lakes(Watashi Wa, Eger Seas), Christa Schweikhard, Zzah, Sleepy Guitar Johnson and has played and toured with numerous other groups including Kevin Hahn Band, Justin Fox Band, Liv, and FLY40. Kyle has shared the stage with Big Head Todd & The monsters, Jin Blossoms, and others. Kyle has studied under LA's finest musicians and comes highly recommended by Fred Dinkins(The Emotions), Jeff Bowders(Rebecca St.James, Paul Gilbert), David Leach(Ben Harper, DMB), Ed Roscetti, Sammy J. Watson, Chuck Silverman, Gary Hess, and Rob Carson. Kyle has received numerous awards for his music accomplishments : Marine Corps "Semper Fidelis" for Music Excellence Award, Bank Of America Achievement Award in the Field of Fine Arts, and Louis Armstrong Jazz Award. He then received his Associates Degree with an emphasis in music at Cuesta Community College. Following college he refined his technical skills by studying at Musicians Institute where he earned his Journeyman and Professional Certificate in Percussion.
